The mosque near the old WTC site has always been a lightening rod for extremists but now it has become center stage for a new type of American farce. Should Muslims be allowed to build the mosque so close to the WTC? The answer is of course yes, with the logic being you can’t pick your spots for religious and individual freedom. Should they build near the old 9/11 site? That’s an entirely different matter and clearly the Imam has his own agenda regarding this issue with his decision to go ahead with this controversial project.
Else where in the country enlightened souls led by the pastor Terry Jones have taken to burning copies of the Quran. Or is it the Koran? Pretty backwards thinking huh, until you consider that in Iran they are actually debating whether or not to move ahead with a stoning sentence for an alleged female adulterer.
Oh, did I mention that the Florida pastor and a local Imam are coming to New York to work out some sort of deal? Only the Imam in New York is having nothing to do with this folly. In the meantime the liberals attack the Florida pastor while the conservatives have their way with the Imam in New York. You got to love the way religion brings us all together, right? All of this nonsense feeds the atheist notion that religion is for quacks and fools especially when that paradigm of sensitivity, the Donald Trump, has decided to join the fracas. You know, the “You’re fired” guy who has the comb-over that defies both the gods and nature, wants in on the action. He offered to buy the proposed mosque site from the developer for 25% over the original selling price. The developer is not interested claiming Donald just wants the publicity. Really, Donald seeking publicity?
All of this religious theater is absurdly laughable and entertaining, especially if you are a god or an atheist, until you realize that some calculating and nefarious human handler is using this as fodder for recruiting the next human bomb. Yes, somebody will get hurt or die from all of this religious insensitivity and stupidity. Then it won’t be so funny and it will all be done in the name of god. Yep, religious stupidity and ignorance abounds in the world enough so to cause all of the prophets to collectively shudder. So do me a favor if any of you should have a prophecy or a moent of spiritual enlightenment in your lifetime please keep it to yourself! The followers will only make a mess of your visions no matter how well intentioned!
